Good News: due to last years popularity, the exciting new subject (32568 Business Intelligence Modelling and Analysis) is now on offer only for postgraduate students who want to make the connection between their academic knowledge and real world cases of Business Intelligence implementations.
This subject will introduce how multi-data sources are used in the development of strategic direction for businesses. Do you want to work for companies building smart technology - like search engines (think
Google or Bing)? or in targetted marketing?
These jobs are way more interesting than help desk support and pay lots more! This
subject
will give you the practical experience to get a job like that.
Or are you more interested in learning how to understand and exploit data from the
stockmarket, from cancer datasets or even working out which team will win the footy next
week?
Well, this subject will show you how.
Due to the popularity of last semester's introductory Data Mining subjects, we've added
some more places to 31005 Data Mining Algorithms and 32513 Advanced Data Mining
Algorithms.
The subjects will be run flexibly, focussing on what *you* are interested in and you can
choose from several different major assignments to suit your interests.
For more information, email Paul Kennedy at paulk@it.uts.edu.au ( more...
