Special Project on Wireless Sensor Networks

We are looking for a few good Students interested in learning a new field in computer networking, called Wireless Sensor Networks. Students will learn the standards used in controlling and programming motes or "smart dust". This subject is open to undergraduate students at least in their second year of study or postgraduate students. All lectures and tutorials will be conducted in CB10.04.406 on Monday from 1pm to 4pm. iPhone and Google Mashup Projects in the Magic Lab Spring Semester 2008

Students can enrol in a six credit point Project Subject and undertake their work in the Magic Lab on Level 5 in Building 10. The projects available for the Spring Semester 2008 revolve around the iPhone and Google Applications; iPhone SDK, Google Web Toolkit, OpenSocial Gadgets, and the Google App Engine. Places are strictly limited and students must have a wild imagination, a strong sense of adventure and some experience programming in Java, Python, C++ or related language. If you are interested in working on a fun iPhone and/or Google Application and want to enrol in a Project Subject, please contact Mary-Anne@it.uts.edu.au and send her information about your academic background, academic interests and a brief description of the kind of project you would be interested in working on.
